Investigative services
What we are engaged to do.
Every investigation receives the direct involvement of experienced investigators. These are the capabilities we bring to a matter — whichever kind of matter it is.
Investigative Strategy & Case Analysis
Complex cases rarely follow a predetermined path.
We review the available information, identify key issues and evidentiary gaps, evaluate investigative options, and develop a focused strategy based on the client's objectives.
As new information is developed, we continually reassess the investigation and recommend additional steps when appropriate.
Services may include
- Case and evidence review
- Investigative planning
- Timeline development
- Identification of evidentiary gaps
- Witness identification
- Lead development
- Analysis of conflicting information
- Investigative recommendations
Witness, Victim & Subject Interviews
The interview is often where the investigation changes.
Effective investigative interviewing requires more than asking a predetermined list of questions. It requires preparation, careful listening, sound judgment, and the ability to recognize when an answer creates another question.
Our investigators conduct detailed interviews designed to develop facts, clarify existing information, identify inconsistencies, evaluate competing accounts, and uncover additional witnesses and investigative leads.
When appropriate, interviews are documented through detailed investigative reports for review by the client or counsel.
Due Diligence & Background Investigations
Good decisions require reliable information.
Our due diligence investigations go beyond simply compiling database results. We gather and analyze information from multiple sources based on the specific concerns and objectives of the client.
Whether evaluating an individual, organization, transaction, business relationship, potential witness, or other matter, our focus is on identifying information that is relevant, credible, and useful to the client's decision-making process.
Complex & Sensitive Investigations
Some matters require a level of experience, discretion, and judgment that goes beyond traditional investigative work.
Our backgrounds include extensive experience with highly sensitive investigations involving vulnerable individuals, serious allegations, complex family or institutional dynamics, and matters requiring coordination among attorneys, organizations, law enforcement, and other professionals.
Not sure which of these you need?
That is what the first conversation is for. A short initial enquiry is enough to start.
